Wk 10 Apr 2, 2025 | Project Revisions Based on Midterm Demo Feedback (Midterm One-On-Ones & A-Teams)
βWe are kept from our goal not by obstacles but by a clear path to a lesser goal.ββRobert Brault
What's Due Today
Make sure you read and reflect on the comments posted on padlet from the midterm demo about your project.
Iterate your project based on this feedback IF it is applicable.
(OPTIONAL) Revise your project plan if needed.
Transform your prototype into your final deliverable for the IDM Showcase.
Don't skip steps. Go from low to medium to high prototypes.
Once you're at high, iterate and continuously improve your project until it is time for the IDM Showcase.
Add the latest version of your project to the padlet in a new card. (Hit the plus sign.) In some cases, you may need to shoot a video. If the file is too large, upload it to your senior project folder and share the link on Padlet.
Be prepared to discuss your current project plan and the latest iteration of your prototype during our one on one in the next class.
Instead of the usual weekly status update, please fill out the midterm assessment for our one on one meeting. Look back over your weekly statuses in doing so.
During Class
You should come to class to meet with your Accountability Teams to provide feedback on each other's project process/progress.
There are instructions for other conversations with your A-Team on the accountability teams webpage.
You should also discuss the feedback you got during the midterm project demos.
I would recommend that you talk to other students, who are not on your A-Team, about your project during this open class period, as well.
When it's time for your one on one, come to my office. When you're done, go back to class and do the tasks outlined in this section. One-On-Ones for all Students Schedule (Google Doc accessible with NYU email) We're keeping the same schedule at last time. If you want to create a calendar invite for yourself, please use https://calendly.com/deangela and make sure you save it to your calendar.
We'll discuss:
your calendar
(OPTIONAL) project management
You can use any remaining time to catch up on your homework and work on your senior project.
