βοΈWk 12 April 16, 2025 | Project Demo (polish the details) and Social Media Promotion Critique
What's Due Today
(OPTIONAL) Revise your project plan if needed.
Transform your prototype into your final deliverable for the IDM Showcase.
Don't skip steps. Go from low to medium to high prototypes.
Once you're at high, iterate and continuously improve your project until it is time for the IDM Showcase.
Add the latest version of your project to the padlet in a new card. (Hit the plus sign.) In some cases, you may need to shoot a video. If the file is too large, upload it to your senior project folder and share the link on Padlet.
Be prepared to discuss your project plan and show your prototype(s).
After doing the above, please FILL OUT week 12's weekly status update.
During Class
Reminders and announcements
Review our classroom agreements.
Thursday, TOMORROW, April 17, 2025 | SPRING 2025 WITHDRAWAL DEADLINE
This event is free and open to non-NYU community members. An Eventbrite ticket is still required for entrance for all guests.
Check back May 5th to preview the Spring 2025 Showcase projects at idm.show.
Please be patient with Maya as she's fielding a lot of emails from a lot of different students.
The IDM showcase involves all five sections of senior projects as well as all six sections from the grad thesis class. So, that's a lot of students to juggle, alongside logistics.
Monday and Tuesday, May 12-13, 2025 | Final One-On-Ones
Schedule 15 minute meeting with me via http://calendly.com/deangela if you haven't already done so. It can be via Zoom.
As a class, review project demos
Get and Give Feedback
DRAFT promotions (text and images) for your project at the IDM showcase for LinkedIn and at least one other social media platform of your choosing.
Get and Give Feedback
Accountability Teams meet during class to provide feedback on each other's project process/progress.
Share your weekly status update.
There are instructions for other conversations with your A-Team on the accountability teams webpage.
(OPTIONAL) iterate your unique A-Team agreements beyond the guidelines listed on gitbook.
Someone on the A-team should create a Google doc and share it with everyone on the team as well as the instructor.
I would recommend that you talk to other students, who are not on your A-Team, about your project during this open class period, as well.
You can use any remaining time to catch up on your homework and work on your senior project.
